UASILICA: Testing Ukrainian Fly Ash and Agricultural Ash for Liquid Glass and Silica-Based Adsorbents

UASILICA is developing ways to turn Ukrainian fly ash and agricultural residues into sodium silicate (liquid glass) and silica-based adsorbents. This online session will share findings from laboratory trials, including which feedstocks show promise and where impurities and inconsistent composition create difficulties.

We will discuss the steps still needed to assess product quality and scale up production, as well as potential applications for the resulting materials. The session is intended for manufacturers, researchers and circular economy organisations interested in using industrial and agricultural residues as sources of new materials.
